Yohimbe is one of five Pausinystalia evergreen species growing in West and Central Africa in lowland forests. The tree grows about 30m tall, with a square bowl that is rarely larger than 50–60 cm in diameter. The bark is grey to reddish-brown, with longitudinal fissures, easy to peel off, and has a bitter taste. The inner Yohimbe bark is pinkish and fibrous.
The sapwood from the Yohimbe tree back is yellowish and the heartwood is ochre-yellow; the wood from the Yohimbe tree is fine-grained and relatively dense and also moderately hard.
The leaves grow in groups of three, with short (about 2 cm) petioles. The blades are oval-shaped, 11–47 cm long, and 5 – 17 cm wide. The demand for Yohimbe bark has led to over-exploitation, with the possibility of a long-term threat to the sustainability of the species if not properly exploited.
Cameroon is the biggest exporter of Yohimbe bark. Yohimbe Bark is considered the most commercially important product and is used in plants and medicinal extractions to make tinctures for traditional medicine and dietary supplements.
This generally will refer to the powdered form of the Yohimbe bark. When the Yohimbe bark has been carefully peeled off, it is dried to remove any moisture. When well dried it is then ground into a fine powder which could be ingested in that form or processed to capsules or tablet forms. From the Yohimbe bark powder, it is easy to chemically extract the various Yohimbe properties such as yohimbine HCl or synthesized yohimbine HCL.
Yohimbe bark extract is a concentrated, powdered form of the Yohimbe tree bark which was carefully peeled off and dried. These are the various preparations or chemical properties extracted from the Yohimbe barks and are sold as a dietary supplement for enhancing libido, alleviating the symptoms of erectile dysfunction, for weight loss as well aids in bodybuilding. Yohimbe extract includes yohimbine and yohimbine HCL.
Yohimbine also known as quebrachine, is an indole alkaloid gotten from the bark of an African tree called Pausinystalia Yohimbe; also gotten from the bark of the unrelated South American tree Aspidosperma quebracho-Blanco. Yohimbine HCL, on the other hand, is an isolated version of the yohimbine molecule, which is extracted from Yohimbe tree bark and paired with hydrochloric acid.
Yohimbine can be said to be an alpha-2 adrenergic antagonist, and yohimbine also has been used in a variety of research projects. yohimbine HCl is also a veterinary drug that is commonly used to reverse sedative effects in dogs and deer. Yohimbine is just one of at least 55 indole alkaloids that have been found isolated from the Yohimbe tree bark.
The fat-burning effects of Yohimbine are easy to see within the first few days of use. Therefore, it’s become a favorite ingredient in fat-burning supplements.
Yohimbine delivers very rapid fat loss on its own. But when taken with the right ingredient combination, the results are more impressive than even some of the black-market fat-burning drugs. Therefore, it’s very common to find guys using Yohimbine products along with Clenbuterol and Winstrol for cutting purposes.
Synthesized Yohimbe HCL
Synthesized or purified Yohimbine HCL is that yohimbine that has been chemically synthesized and the synthetic form is that which is currently marketed in the United States.
Synthesize yohimbine is simply yohimbine that has been purified or paired using hydrochloric acid. In some clinical trials, synthetic yohimbine has had consistent, though limited effects on erectile dysfunction. Synthetic yohimbine’s effect on sexual desire is less well defined. The recommended dose of purified yohimbine is 5 to 10 mg three times daily. Drug tolerance or tachyphylaxis may occur.
Differences Between These Products
Yohimbe bark extract is a concentrated, powdered form of the Yohimbe tree’s bark. Yohimbine HCL, on the other hand, is an isolated version of the yohimbine molecule, which is extracted from Yohimbe bark and paired with hydrochloric acid. Both sources of yohimbine can have a powerful impact on the body.
Dried bark from the twigs and trunk of the Yohimbe tree is used in its entirety, cut up or ground into powder to be used as a drug. The bark of the Yohimbe tree serves as a source for Yohimbe bark powder and from there the Yohimbe extracts are derived to produce yohimbine HCL, as yohimbine the main component of the bark, can either be obtained from the bark or chemically synthesized.
The method of storage of these various Yohimbe products also matters as the Yohimbe barks can be stored in any clean environment, but it’s not the case with yohimbine HCL as it should be and is kept in airtight containers, protected from light.
