How fast does yohimbe work?

Yohimbine hydrochloride (HCL) is known to be the principal alkaloid found in the African Yohimbe tree which is believed can increase blood flow and nerve impulses to the penis. Anybody with anxiety disorders, depression, heart problems, prostate problems, high or low blood pressure, kidney or liver disease or Alzheimer’s disease, seizures or ADHD as they can actually worsen those conditions if they consume yohimbe supplements.

Women are warned against using these yohimbe supplements especially if they are Pregnant and breastfeeding as it can be dangerous to the child.

Can I take yohimbe and other drugs together?

Do not in any case take these combinations, 

  •       Medications that are meant for depression (tricyclic antidepressants) because they interact negatively with yohimbe.
  •       Medications that are meant for high blood pressure (antihypertensive drugs) because they interact negatively with yohimbe.
  •       Do not take Yohimbe at the same time you eat cheese, liver or red wine, all of which contain the amino acid tyramine.
